Hello fellow resident members of Panorama Hills,

Summer is now upon us and what a wonderful season this always is in Panorama Hills. Whether you are enrolled in one of our summer programs, enjoying the spray park or volleyball and basketball courts, hosting a picnic at one of our gazebos, or walking through one of the many open parks and pathways here in Panorama Hills, I hope that you are enjoying the weather and our community with your family and friends.

I was very pleased to introduce our board of directors at our annual general meeting on June 18th. With some of the board being mostly new this year, I can say that I am already excited about the creative and meaningful ideas these folks have been bringing to the table, along with their professionalism and their commitment to delivering value to you, our resident members. Together, we believe in inclusiveness and encourage collaboration with all our resident members. We hope that you will attend our future open house events to come meet us in person, share your ideas and feedback and find out how to get more involved with your residents association.

I was also very pleased to introduce our new General Manager, Dan Green. Along with Dan's many years of experience in leadership, business administration, sales and marketing, recreation services, financial accounting and his years of volunteer efforts with our residents association, Dan brings a wealth of knowledge, experience and passion for the community of Panorama Hills and a strong vision to deliver exceptional value to our resident members. Dan is excited to be leading our fantastic staff team as they maintain the many beautiful amenities we enjoy here in Panorama Hills, and to create new opportunities for growth within our community.

If you have ever attended events at the Panorama Hills Community Centre or follow us on social media, you may be familiar or have even had the pleasure of meeting our Community Relations Manager, Maren Tryon. With our programs, events and communications being a core piece of our value delivery, Maren's efforts have been key to ensuring we sustain and create meaningful program offerings, communications and fun events within our community.

One of the most important efforts of our board members and staff is to help steward our organization committees. These include our Governance and Policy Committee, Audit and Finance Committee, Safety Committee and our Community Engagement and Capital Development Committee. Currently, we are seeking volunteer commitments for our Community Engagement and Capital Development committee as we move forward on new development initiatives. There will be announcements and calls for engagement on upcoming development initiatives in the near future, which we are all certainly excited about.

Membership, engagement and involvement are important steps to sustaining and growing a community, and this starts with being informed. If you haven't done so already, please make sure you:

Stay safe, have fun, and enjoy your summer!
