About The Event
The history of Chinese characters can be dated back to thousands of years ago, a.k.a oracle
bone script. Unlike alphabetic writing system, Chinese characters are most graphic image-like
compounds, and this is the very reason why many people think Chinese writing is one of the
most beautiful written languages in the world. Through papercutting and calligraphy,
participants can learn some interesting history facts of Chinese characters and appreciate the
beauty of Chinese character formations. Bonus! Learn some basic conversational Mandarin at
the same time!
Only those who are registered can attend. Members-Only!
