July Events Recap
Hello, everyone! We hope you had a wonderful July and enjoyed the summer weather. We had a lot of fun and exciting events happening at our community center, and we want to share the highlights with you. Here are the events that took place in July:
Canada Day
We had a colorful Canada day celebration with loads of arcade games, a petting zoo, grilled food, and so much more!
Senior Coffee Time Wednesdays
Every Wednesday in July, we had games and coffee with the beloved Seniors in our community.
Flavours of Fitness
We brought some amazing Fitness instructors to our community park to lead different workshops every Wednesday evening.
Friday Trivia Evening
We had a fun-filled evening with popcorn, where members tested their knowledge with general trivia and competed with their neighbours. The trivia champion was crowned at the end of the night and received a certificate.
Movie in the Park
We played the animated movie Home on a big daylight screen and handed out free popcorn to our members. Members were entertained with lawn games before the start of the movie.
Camp Games
We had an unforgettable day of adventure with a variety of outdoor activities, including races, capture the flag, and scavenger hunts. Everyone had a great time playing and making new friends. We also enjoyed some refreshing iced tea and snacks after the games.
Picnic in the Park
On July 15, we had a delightful afternoon with members who enjoyed Axe Throwing, Spikeball, and Ladderball competitions.
Christopher Cool's Magic Show
Christopher Cool, our favourite magician from our neighbourhood, visited with a BRAND-NEW Magic Show for our community members.
Chess Workshop
Checkmate Foundation held a workshop at our centre for both beginners and intermediate chess lovers! They brought snacks and their extreme enthusiasm for the game.
DancePl3y
We brought Dance to the Community Centre’s Park, friendly for all ages!
Farmers Market
We had a colourful annual Farmers Market on with a variety of vendors, including face painting, crochet items, baked goods, and so much more!
